There are newborns that come to me that don’t love to sleep, well actually there are quite a few of them that are like it. It’s normal. I’m ok with it. I pretty much win all the time in the end so it’s all good. The process of settling babies and getting them to sleep or be in a certain pose is just part of the process that I enjoy. And then there are a small handful of them that come to see me that sleep the entire time. Like actually are hardly ever awake. J was one of those babies.
Session Day
Getting to spend my day with J and his mama was just so wonderful. His is sweet, kind and funny. She is just so real and embodies motherhood. Her other two littles came in for a few minutes too for a quick sibling shot. I was happy to meet them because her daughter was coming in for a fairy tale session in about a week. Her kids are just so adorable and completely well behaved.
Moving over to grabbing some photos of J was so easy. I almost could not believe how easy it was. LOL He transferred so well and loved being swaddled. I was able to get a couple different set ups in my favorite Farmhouse Frames crate with some new quilt pieces and wraps I just got. One of my favorite things to do when they are all wrapped up is grab some detail shots. I love these types of images. Being able to capture some of their unique qualities up close is pretty special. This little man definitely wins for BEST HAIR!!
The beanbag is another place I love to really grab those precious curly poses. The possibilities there are so many as to what we can do. And he basically let me get through a on of poses along with s backdrop change. We had so much fun at our session. I think I could have photographed him all day long. I’ll even forgive him for pooping all over. Thankfully it was the last pose and set up of the day. Ahhh, the joys of being a newborn photographer.
