What to Expect at Your Session

Your session is custom designed just for you. I like to take my time with each session and do not want you to ever feel hurried. Having a relaxing environment and having fun while you get your pictures taken is really an important part of any session.

Behind The Scenes

Join me for a newborn session in this behind the scenes video.

Senior Sessions

As soon as junior year comes to a close is the best time to start thinking about booking your Senior Session. I photograph seniors usually from June to November as students get busy once school starts rolling along.

Senior sessions are a little more unique and fun than my usual session. You can choose up to two locations to be photographed at. We can choose urban locations or more nature if you like parks and trees or we can do one of each. We can even head to your high school. I have lots of places I really like. We can discuss this prior to your session so we can have a plan in place before session day.

Sessions are typically about 3 hours long due to the fact that we may be travelling to more than one location and I want to make sure we have time to capture exactly the images you envision.

Newborn Sessions

Booking your session in advance ensures that you will get the session date and time you are looking for. Please contact me for available dates.

When booking your newborn session it is best to contact me well before your expected due date as I get busy and want to leave some wiggle room for when your baby arrives. The best time to photograph newborns is with the first two weeks of life, 5-10 days is best. But if you miss this window, I have gotten beautiful images of older newborns.

Newborn sessions can be 3-4 hours. This may sound long but I like to let baby set the pace. Babies will do what they want and there is no pressure for them to “model”. I like to relax into the session and allow them to drift off to sleep. I also like to make time for feeding and cuddling.

During newborn sessions I keep it nice and warm. Please wear something you will be comfortable in. Don’t forget to bring a snack in case you get hungry.

Maternity Sessions

Maternity sessions are best held when you are between 28 and 35 weeks along. This is when you have a nice baby bump but aren’t feeling too bloated or uncomfortable. If you are looking for progression images please contact me to book as soon as you can.

Sessions are schedule for 60-90 minutes in length.

Maternity sessions include the use of any of my gorgeous gowns for you to wear. I partner with Sew Trendy Accessories and if you have a gown in mind from them you can get your exclusive 10% off coupon just by being a client of SRP. Please contact me for more details on that.

Sessions are held in my in-home studio or on-location, if weather permits, in Fort Worth, Texas and the surrounding areas. My studio is in the northwest section of Fort Worth and about 20 minutes from downtown.

Family & Baby Sessions

Family and baby sessions are held either in my studio or on-location, weather permitting. They are scheduled to be 60-90 minutes in length. Kids will be kids and none of them like to sit and smile for the camera. I really like to make time for them to feel comfortable and take a relaxed approach to our session.

Cake smash sessions are available for your child’s one year session at no additional charge. Please contact me for more details.

After Our Session

Once your session is complete, I carefully go through your session’s images and select the best images for your gallery. Each image in your final gallery is professionally edited to look at its best.

Your gallery will be ready for viewing within four weeks of our session date. Image galleries for senior sessions are 45-50, newborn sessions are 25-30 images due to length and type of session while maternity, family & baby session galleries are 20 images.

Once your gallery is complete, I will reach out and set up a time for you to come in and view your gallery. We will work out a date and time that works best for you. Your ordering appointment will be at my studio. Here, you will be able to view your gallery and I can help you with placing your order. At your appointment, I will have product samples available for you to look at, touch and really get a feel for the amazing quality.

We can also take the images you want and add them into a “virtual” frame and/or a photoblock template so you can be sure it is exactly what you are looking for.

I will have product guides with full descriptions and price lists on hand for you to look over. You will have a variety of products to choose from to best display your art and meet your family’s needs.

I am really looking forward to our session and I am here if you have any questions or concerns.
