What do you do when one of your friends tell you she is going to be a Grandma! Besides exclaim that we are too darn young for that!! Well you have her daughter-in-law bring you that sweet baby for a newborn photo shoot, that’s what! Seems like I knew about this new baby months and months before she made her appearance and let me tell you when she arrived my friend was over the moon! Who can blame her though? Not me….that’s for sure. This little lady is already stealing hearts.
Session Day
Here we are and baby A has only been Earthside for 20 days. I love older newborns. I know that sounds sounds kind of strange in the same sentence but they grow so amazingly fast is really is true. But little Miss A rocked her session. She was peaceful and relaxed and not to mention 100% adorable. My friend the new grandma decided to come along for her session. I have to say that was pretty special. Most of my friends (especially those who are not photographers) have no idea how much work and time goes into these sessions. And don’t get me wrong I LOVE them so much but they are a lot of work. LOL
I had just recently got a new rusty old tin from my favorite prop vendor and I could not wait to try it out. Mind you a 10 pound newborn would probably not fit into it but Miss A was just perfect and I have to say it was one of my favorite pics of the year. (Disclaimer: No rust or yucky-ness came in contact with baby at any time. Safety first! Always) Anywhoooo….take a peek at some of the pics we got from our time together. And can you say…..cheeks for miles!!
