Maternity photography is something that really touches my heart. I never had any pictures taken when I was pregnant (surprising I know since I have 4 kids!) and I totally regret it. When I was pregnant I was so unbelievably sick. THE. ENTIRE. TIME. It was awful. It was all I could do to keep a meal down or get up and get dressed. What I would give to go back and force myself to make the effort. LOL Not having any professional maternity images is something that makes me sad. I guess I’ll just have to live through my clients.
Sew Trendy
Making these mamas-to-be feel gorgeous (because they are) is why I do this. I love it. My favorite thing I provide expectant mamas is my huge assortment of maternity gowns to wear at their session. There are a couple of vendors I buy from but one of my favorites is Sew Trendy Accessories. In my gown gallery is fifteen of their dresses varying in style and color and I love them all. I may even have a small wish list going of gowns I want to add to my collection. These dresses are extremely well-made, soft, feminine and unbelievably comfortable. Here are a few of my favorites:
The Colbie
I have this dress in navy and gray and really am thinking of adding another color. It’s a favorite with my clients and with me too. This dress has a gorgeous top, fitted through the body and really shows off that gorgeous baby bump. I love that it comes with a small train at the bottom.
The Krysten
Now I was a bit on the fence about this one but let me tell you when my first expectant mama tried this on I was blown away. She looked so statuesque and beautiful in this white gown so I went right out and grabbed it in plum too. LOL My favorite part about this dress is the deep scoop in the back that is so flattering and feminine.
The Emerlie
This gown is just beautiful…It was the first one I wanted and purchased. From the sweetheart neckline either worn off the shoulders or right at the tip to the fit through the body and down to the train…it is just remarkably flattering on all types of mamas. Now I just need to decide what the next color I need to add in my inventory. Something bold maybe….what do you think? What’s your favorite color?
The Marilyn
This gown is quickly becoming a favorite with clients as well. The one I have is a beautiful dusty pink color and lace from top to bottom. It is fitted through mid-thigh with a sweetheart neckline ending in a gorgeous, sheer bottom and train. It is so soft and feminine and really gives off that elegant feel. I love how it looks on everyone that has put it on.
