Being a new mom is hard. Getting adjusted to your new baby is not all sunshine and roses. Sometimes when you are getting ready for a new baby things fall through the cracks….like planning your child’s newborn session. I know it did for me. I may have even tried to do my own newborn’s pictures myself. Let’s just say I should have hired someone. LOL This new mama contacted me when her baby was two days old and I was so thrilled I was able to get her and her new son in for a session.
Session Day
When Kim arrived with her hubby and new son I just could not believe how great she looked. I was a hot mess after baby and am always amazed at how great my mamas look when they come to see me. The thing that really stood out to me was her smile and genuine kindness. What a wonderful family. This little man is going to be adored and cherished and I could see that already. His pictures with his daddy too ended up being some of my favorites. I love seeing the interactions between a daddy and they’re new baby. It is truly such a special bond.
Baby F decided he wanted to be the perfect baby and not sure he woke up at all except to have a couple of quick snacks. I always schedule my newborn sessions for 3-4 hours to make sure that we can make time for these things and have a relaxed and peaceful environment for these newborns.
Pictures from our Session
This session was another one where parents hoped in. I could not have been happier with how they turned out. I truly felt like I could see the love mama and daddy have for their new son every time they held him. Another thing I incorporate with every session is close-ups of all those baby details. As they grow those little details changes so fast and it is easy to forget how small they were. Especially during those first few weeks when you are so exhausted and tired.
