One of my favorite things about being a newborn photographer, besides getting to snuggle gorgeous newborns, is getting to know baby’s mama and daddy. Birth stories can be so much fun. But sometimes they are not. Either way I love when parents share their experiences with me. I feel like when parents schedule their session and are here in the studio I really form a relationship with them that I cherish. This particular family just touched my heart. Baby L is their first baby and she has arrived into such an amazing family. She is so loved and cherished and I am so honored to be a part of their journey.
Session Day
This was probably one of the first times mom and dad had left the house since baby was born. Mom is just so beautiful and kind and made our session such pure joy. My favorite part about this session, though, was seeing just how much these two people loved each other. Dad was just so attentive not just to L but to mom too. I could see him out of the corner of my eye just being loving and thoughtful. It really warmed my heart to see so much love for each other and their baby. It’s such a special thing being able to be a part of this family’s journey, even if it was only for a few hours.
Baby L’s session was just so peaceful and relaxing. She slept like a champ and when she was awake showed me some of her sweet personality which she must have gotten from her mama. I was actually sad when the session ended as I just enjoyed getting to know them so much. (I’m a sap and I know it. LOL) Check out some of the images from her photo shoot.
