When people give me a good referral or pass my name along to their friends I really feel like it is the biggest compliment I can receive. This was how I met C’s mama. Her sister came to me for a newborn session while she was still pregnant…and almost due. So when I got the call from mama I was so honored and blessed that she chose me. The fact that she felt like I could do a good job for her and deliver her beautiful images of her newborn baby just warmed my heart and made my day.
Meeting Baby C
When this mama and daddy (and grandma) came to see me I was blown away with just how amazing mama looked. She did not look like she had just given birth. Such a beautiful mama. But not only that, she is funny and kind and we just had such a good time at our session. I love getting to know these families, especially when I get to know extended families too.
Sweet C has the best name. So unique and perfectly suited to him and his family. He was just a sweet and relaxed little guy. I felt like I could have photographed him all day. His mama arrived with the best prop a parent has brought to date. I LOVED it. She brought a canoe with a fishing pole. It was made so well and had such a rustic, spend the day at the lake kind of feel. It went perfectly with everything I feel describes my style. Way to go mama!! We had so many great pictures of C in it. One thing I really like to do is talk to parents about what they are really looking for out of our session. If there are specific poses or themes they want or colors and styles they just have to have. Usually, if there is something that is a “must have” we will focus on doing that first while everyone is at their best. I was so happy we achieved exactly what she had in mind for this session.
