Beautiful Allyssa | Seattle Maternity & Newborn Photographer

One thing I was really excited about for 2016 was creating my new Progression series for Maternity Sessions. I love photographing maternity almost as much as I love photographing newborns. I just love being on that journey. When I first started talking about doing this my first though was, “ok now I need some pregnant gals!” LOL And I needed to find them in their first trimester. I had one person lined up and wanted another. A few weeks later I’m sitting at my hair salon getting my hair done and one of the hairdressers, who is seattle maternity photography, seattle newborn photographer, maternity, newborn, belly, baby bump, newborn pictures seattle, newborn photography seattlemy friend as well, tells me that she is pregnant. YAY I think to myself. I started to tell her about my ideas and she is excited and on board. I was so excited. Allyssa was able to come to the studio for all three trimesters and again once her sweet little baby made an appearance. For Allyssa I really wanted a moody and darker session. I loved it and she was perfect with the perfect coloring not to mention feminine and just gorgeous.

Once baby L was born, three weeks early and while I was on vacation of course, I realized that Allyssa just makes beautiful babies. I mean seriously, look at this little guy. He was almost four weeks old at his session but he was a super star and did amazing. I have had some of the best luck with newborns that are a bit older.

So mom shows up to the session and asks me if I can squeeze in a few shots with this dump truck. Um, yes please!! How awesome is this truck? It totally reminded me of one my little brother had when we were kids. I wanted to keep it here in the studio. <3 I really love items that remind me of my childhood.

I really love these progression type images. Creating a new life is just so exciting and filled with anticipation. Our bodies really are amazing. I am so thankful and appreciative that Allyssa allowed me to be a part of her journey and helped me put an idea into reality.
