It was only a few days before we left. We were getting ready to move from Washington to Fort Worth, Texas. One of my closest friends asked if I would take senior pictures of her son, David, before we left. Of course I said yes. I was honored to be asked and wanted to do this for her.
A Special Teen
I have known David since he was seven years old. He is the same age as my oldest son. My kids are friends with him and his brother and sister. We go to the same church and it has been pretty amazing watching him grow up. He is a gentle, kind and funny young man. I am so excited to see what life has in store for him.
Session Day
When I did senior pictures for his older brother a couple of years ago, we just went to a local park. David, and his mom, wanted something a little different. We decided to head out to an old train museum that bordered on a river running through town. It’s a really cool part of town. The museum had such cool backdrops with the trains and tracks and old buildings. The trains and tracks are not in use or active and are only for decoration. (I wanted to mention this because active train tracks are federal property and it is illegal to photograph on them…not to mention remarkably unsafe.)
We had such a great time at our session. This was the last photography session I had before we moved to Fort Worth. And I couldn’t have picked a better family to do that with.
Check out some of my favorites from our time together. I may have even had mom pop in for a couple.
If you are thinking of booking a senior photo session, I’d love to chat with you. You can reach me HERE. Can’t wait to hear from you.
