I have to say that I have been so incredibly lucky to have had some great senior sessions this year. My previous client’s daughter, Aubree, is in theatre at Boswell High School here in Fort Worth and she reached out asking me if I could photograph the officers. I jumped on that and was honored to be asked. After that, I coordinated with Aubree and she was able to get the rest of the teens ready and out there. We decided to head up to Eagle Mountain Park. It’s pretty and not too far away.
Session Day
This session was a blast I have to say. There are seven Theatre Officers (four seniors and two juniors) at the high school and they all came out and looked amazing. The seniors have been friends since elementary school and it showed. All the teens just truly enjoy being around each other and you can tell. Our session was filled with so much laughter and listening to them reminded me why I think teens are so cool.
This particular park is one of my favorites to use for photo sessions. The variety of “backdrops” is great, not to mention there are trees and pathways and rusted out old buildings. With all that though comes a level of danger…I was being chased by the biggest bee ever created. I swear it would not leave me alone. It was massive. (Thank you Luke for trying to save me by the way LOL)
Wrapping Up
As the session drew to a close I wanted to make sure that the teens all got the images they were hoping to get. So then I did a few group shots and then pictures of each person alone and we were even able to grab a photo of all seven jumping into the air. I am happy to say that no major injuries occurred other than someone getting kicked in the shins. But just once. Getting to know Aubree and her friends was awesome.
Here are some of my favorite images from our session. I had SO many images that I really loved.
Seniors are awesome and I love photographing them. If you have a Senior and are interested in booking a session, I’d love to chat. You can reach me HERE
