Exploring the great state of Washington is pretty awesome. There is really something here for everyone. I love it. You can have urban areas, lakes, mountains, and beaches all in western Washington. Not to mention all the wildlife, fields, streams, flowers etc. I really want to see it all and enjoy being outside. Have I mentioned the four amazing seasons? No? Well the seasons here are beautiful. It rains a lot but truly makes everything come to life.
Another Day Out
When I started thinking about my photo diary I had all these grand plans to go exploring every week or at least two to four times a month…..well…..needless to say life got in the way and I have only done a few places since summer time. I’m determined to get back to it but thought I’d blog about the ones I visited already.
Instead of pre-planning and heading out early, this time I thought I would stay close to home. No better way to spend an evening, than with my family at some of my favorite places. I am definitely a gal who loves mountains and lakes. Just the sound of the waves against the shoreline is one of the most relaxing sounds to me.
Lake Sammamish State Park
I may have had to drag the kids out kicking and screaming. LOL But they had fun once we got there. Sunsets around here are so pretty especially with all the lakes and mountains around here. Lake Sammamish State Park is no different. It is a gorgeous lake with a sandy “beach” where you can swim, picnic, go paddleboarding and so much more. Heck, I just love sitting there and doing nothing and listening to the water.
And that I did. Well that and watch Chris and the kids skip rocks as the sun set over the mountain. It was a perfect end to my day. It’s really was life is all about. Family. God’s greatest blessing. Check out some of my pictures from the lake. And stay tuned for the next adventure.
