I have just been loving Senior photo sessions. They are so much fun. Moving to Texas has been a bit of a challenge finding new clients. I knew that I had to start reaching out and finding some new teens that need pictures. Thankfully I have a son in high school so I am meeting lots of great families. This family just warms my heart and I was so blessed to get to know them.
Reaching Out
I decided to join the PTA at my daughters elementary school as a good way to meet people when we moved here. One of my new friends recommended a gal who was a teacher there. She has a daughter, Aubree, who is a senior (and also her daughter’s best friend). So I reached out to Victoria, who is just the sweetest ever. She is also my daughter’s art and music teacher. And funny enough, her husband is my son’s choir teacher. Small world right?
Session Day
On the session day, I was a little worried about the heat. It had been over 100F for months and we just had a heat wave and the temps were close to 110F. This northern girl is not used to this heat. LOL Well it cooled down (a little) enough not to be melting in the sun. And of course the wind picked up and was blowing like crazy. It makes for great pics, right?! Anyway….we went down to Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth and we found some great spots. The sun was cooperating and would go behind the clouds for a bit too which was nice.
Blessed Beyond Measure
Getting to know this family has been amazing. Mom is awesome and someone I now consider a friend. Dad is great. Aubree is a beautiful young lady who I am so proud to know. She is a talented actress at her high school too. I am so thankful they chose me to capture such a special time in their daughter’s life.
Homecoming
Our senior session went so well we decided to do a quick session for Homecoming. Of course it was still hot and windy. But this time we decided to head to downtown Fort Worth and get some urban pictures. I can’t decide which place I like better. Both will be my answer I guess.
