Maternity photo sessions are some of my favorite types of sessions. I really love doing them. This time was not different. Meeting new mamas and being able to pamper them for a little while is so much fun. Rebecca responded to a call I had made for someone to come and model a new dress for me. I am so glad she did. We had a mutual friend so she had seen my work which I was happy about. I had really been wanting to take my maternity shoots outside so I could capture these gals in some of the beautiful PNW landscape. Sammamish has such a great number of parks and green belts that I could sit at all day long, relaxing.
Session Day
Rebecca and I met at a park I love that’s close to my house. I had a couple of ideas that I wanted to try and brought a few dresses with me. It was pretty close to sunset and I was loving how the sun was peeking through the tree tops. It wasn’t as low in the sky as I wanted (the trees are so tall that it blocks that super low in the sky sun) but I was super happy with how pretty it was looking out there. I have a dress from Sew Trendy (read that blog post HERE) where you can move pieces around for a multitude of different looks and styles. That was the first dress I wanted to try. Rebecca put it on and I swear she looked like a Greek goddess. She looked amazing and was just such a beautiful expectant mama. I loved being able to make it look like three separate gowns too.
The other gown I had her wear just looked amazing on her as well. With her blonde hair and blue eyes it was the perfect color for her. I loved it. It was such a pleasure getting to know her and I could not be happier with the images we captured that day. Take a peek at a few from our session.
