So I definitely have to say that my girls like senior photo sessions way more than my guys do. By a mile. Maybe by ten miles. I know that a majority of guys are only doing this for their moms and would rather be doing anything else. My three boys are used to getting their pictures taken but they definitely tolerate it more than they love it. LOL
Meeting the Family
This session was no different. I had spoken with mom over the phone numerous times and she was amazing and just the nicest ever and I knew right away I would just adore her. I was right. Anyway, when we got to downtown Fort Worth mom came over and told me her son wanted nothing to do with this. I laughed and said how normal that was and I would try to make it as painless as possible.
Session Time
We chose Melt Ice Cream downtown as a cool place to start. It’s in a cool location and I love having sessions down there. Not to mention they have the yummiest ice cream around and some pretty nice staff members!! Weston was definitely doing this for his mom and I promised him I would not drag this out and it would be a little fun. I reminded him all he would have to do is smile (sometimes) and I would even let him know how to pose and what looked good.
Not too Terrible
As we moved through our session I learned just how laid back and great of a guy he is. He was easy going and had a great smile. We walked around and visited a couple of my favorite spots. We got some great shots and even managed to sneak mom in for one.
On to Our Next Location
Each senior session comes with your choice of two locations. I love that option for my teens and I think they do too. It just gives just a great variety to their galleries. Our second location we chose is the park over by his high school. It is a beautiful location and one of my favorites. I got there first because Weston wanted to run home and grab his letterman’s jacket and another shirt. He only had the one outfit downtown and you can bring up to five outfits per session. I was super happy to hear he wanted to mix things up. I think I was winning him over. Maybe a little. LOL
Park Time
We got some great shots at the park and I have to say he looks great in his jacket. I love how it reflected the sports he plays and his personality. We were even able to time it so we could catch some of that gorgeous Texas sunset right at the end of our session.
Check out a few of my favorites from our session. And guys I promise not to make your sessions terrible and painful. LOL
