Extra Special Client
All of my senior photo sessions are awesome but this one was just a little extra. Cayson is my nephew and a pretty amazing young man. He is funny, kind, unique and just so much fun to be around. I have watched him grow up and I can not believe that he is actually a senior and about to graduate high school. There was only one problem….he lives in Las Vegas and I live half way across the country in Fort Worth, Texas.
Going to Vegas
My friend Jen and I have been talking about his senior pics for quite a few months. We decided I would head out there over his homecoming weekend so we could do a session for that too. Trying to grab all the moments at once. We might have planned a family session too while I was there. Anyway, we decided on September and I grabbed a flight and head out there. I was hoping the weather would be cooler. But if anyone has ever been to Vegas in September, they would know that doesn’t happen very often.
Session Day
Since all my senior sessions include two locations, we decided to head downtown and then out towards Red Rock. I was really hoping to grab the Las Vegas sign but it was closed. Downtown Las Vegas can be such a cool place but the crowds can be brutal. Lucky for us, it was deserted down there, much to my surprise and delight. We found so many awesome locations and and were really able to capture that old school Vegas feel. After downtown, we drove off to Calico Basin and did the whole nature thing. Red Rock is so pretty and definitely a great place for pictures. Of course we had to top off our afternoon together with some Mexican food which is my favorite! Needless to say it was a great trip and totally worth it.
