Photographing newborns is one of my favorite things to do but I love maternity photography just as much!!
My Why
When I started doing maternity sessions my heart just stopped. I knew I needed to start offering more of these types of sessions and I have never looked back. It is just such an amazing thing to be able to showcase the beauty of impending motherhood. Society just doesn’t make it easy for us women when we start gaining weight and getting round around the middle. LOL But really….have a baby is such a miracle. It is worth every thing our bodies go through. Learning to love ourselves as we go through all these changes is super hard. When these mamas come to see me I am honored to be able to show them how gorgeous they truly are.
Show Me that Baby Bump
Jeannine came to see me when she was 37 weeks along and I was just blown away by how amazing she looked. I wish I looked that good when I was pregnant. I may have blown up like a balloon. LOL Anywho…I had a few dresses I wanted to photograph and she was more than willing to let me play. She looked beautiful and we had so much fun during our session. She is kind and funny and a great mom to her little boy.
The weather was gloomy….typical Seattle but we scheduled the session a bit before sunset hoping the clouds would clear a little. They didn’t. Well they did after we were all done and walking back to the car. So we quickly had her change into the dress that we liked the best on her and I grabbed a quick picture with a gorgeous pink sky. It ended up being my favorite of the night, which was a hard choice because she made all the dresses look good. Then three minutes later the sky was gloomy again. Got to love those super quick sunsets! Doesn’t she look gorgeous??
