Maternity sessions have always held a special place in my heart. Maybe because I never had pictures done myself or because I just want mamas to feel gorgeous. Either way I really love going out of my way to make this a special day for new moms. I have a gown closet clients can use during the session too. I may have too many gowns…just sayin’.
Picking Out the Dress
This sweet new mama decided that she wanted to come down to the studio prior to our session and look at my gowns and try some on before our session day. I showed her my online gallery and she picked out a handful. I may have grabbed a few extras too I thought would look good. All in all I think she tried about six or seven dresses. We narrowed it down to a few and went from there.
Session Day
We decided to head out to the lake for our session. It was warm but not too terrible. The lake is just such a gorgeous place for a session with all the trees and the water. I just love it over there. Mom and sister came along for some moral support and to help with hair and dress changes and I was so glad of it. I am friends with her mom and just loved getting to know some of her kids. It was a great session and I had a blast.
